CLUB NEWS: Colin Griffin is currently training at Altitude in Livigno (Italian Alps) under coach Sandro Damilano in preparation for the World Championship 50K race in Daegu, South Korea, at the end of August.
Three Club members who qualified from the Connacht Championships competed in the Woodies DIY All Ireland during the first weekend in Tullamore on July 9/10. Conor Reynolds finished fourth in the Under 14 Long Jump, Laura O Dowd finished fourth in the Under 17 800m and Ryan O Rourke did not qualify for the Final of the Under 15 800m.
Dylan Mimna will compete in the Under 15 2000m Walk when the Championships resume in Tullamore on Saturday July 23rd.
Training in preparation for the National Community Games Finals in Athlone on Saturday August 20th will resume for qualifiers early in August.
